31'000 sqm of logistics space rented in 12 months

31'000 sqm of logistics and storage space rented by SPGI in the last 12 months

While many analysts have recently published on the strong growth and attractiveness of industrial and logistics real estate, SPGI's teams have been in action for several months. Indeed, in response to a sustained demand in this sector, SPGI has been able to provide technical solutions and to develop several complex buildings for a total of 31'000 sqm of logistics and storage space rented in recent months.

This strong demand for logistics and storage space is explained by a logistics sector in full mutation and expansion due to the development of e-commerce.

Companies are looking for efficiency in a context where delivery demands are exploding. A move to new, better adapted premises allows for the automation of warehouses through the installation of robots and thus an improvement in the ratio of useful surfaces. In addition to the development of e-commerce, Geneva is benefiting from the first economic spin-offs from the expansion of the Watches & Wonders watch show. The arrival of new exhibitors has generated a significant demand for storage space to house the stands.

Specialized for more than 11 years in industrial and logistic premises with a department and collaborators dedicated to this activity, SPGI is currently collaborating in the development of new logistic building projects in order to meet the demand in a booming market.
